Accommodation

image8We offer the use of three bedrooms, catering for a maximum of five guests at one time. We will, however, only accept single party bookings. As our guests you will not be sharing space with any other group.

Our boutique style  guest accommodation is located on the second storey of our home. This comprises three bedrooms (Queen, Twin and Single beds respectively), a private ensuite bathroom and large formal lounge with wide screen tv and access to garden balcony.

During your stay with us, this top floor will be exclusively your space to enjoy and you may be as private or sociable as you choose! (However, although we will do our utmost to respect your peace and privacy, guests should note that their accommodation is NOT completely self-contained; access is through the central stairs and family dining area of our home). Breakfast is usually served downstairs in the dining area but we are happy to serve it upstairs to the Lounge should you request it.

Although easily accessible, the property is not suitable for very young children or those who may find stairs difficult to manage. We are not able to accept bookings for children under 5 years of age.

The Master Bedroom

image7The main guest room, “The Walnut Room” has an extremely comfortable Queen bed, reading chair, TV, walk in wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities. A private back door from this room opens to a small bush path leading directly to our outdoor spa pool. Tucked into its own private bush courtyard with views over to the lights of Wellington City the hot tub is secluded and private – the perfect way to unwind at the end of a busy day. Bi-fold windows open out to a garden balcony with café style table and chairs. Enjoy your breakfast here if you wish, or use it as a quiet spot to take in the view and the music of our garden fountain below.

Ensuite Bathroom

image14The adjoining Ensuite bathroom has a spacious mains pressure shower, basin and heated towel rail.

The Green Roomimage10

The Green Room has two new and comfortable single beds. These can be converted to a King size bed should you choose. ( Please inform us on booking should you wish to make use of this option.) Each bed has bedside table and lamp and an electric blanket. There is a wardrobe and chest of drawers for your belongings.

The Blue Room

image11The Blue Room has a single bed, with electric blanket, bedside table and small wardrobe. The room has a cute corner window which offers a pretty view of the sea and hills beyond.

The Lounge

image9Adjacent to the bedrooms you will find our formal lounge – yours to relax in during your stay. Rich red and gold furnishings complement the spectacular harbour views from the huge bi-fold windows. Clear days bring amazing views of the Kaikouras in the South Island and sunsets to inspire the artist in you.

There’s a movie-size widescreen tv and sound system with an extensive collection of Classic DVDS to choose from; large sofas, books, board games and a window seat to snuggle up with a magazine. An open gas fire makes the room totally cosy on cold winter days.
